About the Show

In 2008, 25 000 people with an interest in recreational fishing, boating and general marine lifestyle activities attended teh Brisbane Boat Show. Visitors range from novices to experienced boaties and fisherman all eager to view first hand the latest in boating and fishing products. Products on display at the 2008 show included luxury cruisers, ski boats and jet skis, offshore fishing boats, tinnies, boating accessories and fishing tackle.

Who should Exhibit?

Any business that provides products or services to the boating, marine or recreational fishing market should participate.  Visitors are primarily consumers of products that relate to boating for recreational, sporting or commercial purposes.

Why Exhibit?

Exhibitions are still the most effective means for businesses to communicate directly with the general public.  Visitors can speak with experts; see, touch & feel the product first hand.  The Brisbane Boat Show is no exception.  Time and again the show has proven itself to be the ultimate destination for consumers looking to purchase a boat to be able to seek, compare and choose from the wide range of product on display.

A recent study conducted by the USA’s National Marine Manufacturers Association has found that boat shows remain a crucial part of the consumer’s boat buying process.

“In what NMMA is calling “the largest study of its kind,” MSU surveyed more than 20,000 attendees across all of NMMA’s 2008 consumer boat shows. The results revealed that 55 percent of boat buyers attended a boat show within six months prior to their purchase, according to the association. Of survey respondents, 65 percent agreed that attending a boat show actually increased their desire to purchase a boat.”
